This year, Putuo will embrace the 18th International Sand Sculpture Festival, Zhoushan, China whose theme is Sand Painting G20. Thusthe sand sculptures not only keep up with the current trend but also remain the objectivity. 28 sculptors from China, USA, Holland, Canada, Czechia and Spain will begin to create. The whole exhibition area will be designed like Tiananmen Gate Tower with maps of over 20 countries and cartoon images all over the world. Inside the exhibition area, there are 20 countries thematic sections featuring their respective well-known buildings, history and classical cartoon images. Among these are many scenes and images we are quite familiar with and delighted to see, like the Sydney Opera House, aborigines and wildlife at the Australia section, a cartoon bear named Jasper lives in forest at the Canada section.
